Privacy policy
Last updated: 10 October 2026
Adello helps businesses create quotes, contracts, invoices and receipts. This policy explains what data we collect, why, and the choices you have. We process personal data in line with the Nigeria Data Protection Act 2023 (NDPA).
What we collect
- Your account: your name, email address, phone number (optional) and password (stored securely, never in plain text).
- Your business data: business details, logos, bank details, customers, documents, payments and receipts that you enter or import.
- Usage data: when you sign in and use Adello, and technical data such as your browser type, so we can keep the service secure and working.
- Shared documents: when your client opens a document link, we record that it was opened so we can show you.
How we use it
- To provide Adello: create, send, store and track your documents.
- To send messages you ask for, such as emailing a document or a payment reminder to your client.
- To manage your account and subscription.
- To keep Adello secure, prevent abuse, and fix problems.
We do not sell your data or your customers' data, and we do not use it for advertising.
Your customers' data
When you add customers to Adello, you decide what data is collected about them and why; Adello processes it on your behalf to provide the service. Please make sure you have a lawful reason to share your customers' details with us.
Who can see your data
- You and your teammates: only people you add to a business can see that business's data.
- Adello support staff: authorised staff may access an account's data only when needed for support, security, fraud prevention or legal reasons. Every such access is logged.
- Service providers who host and run Adello for us (for example cloud hosting, database, email and payment providers), under agreements that protect your data.
- Authorities, where the law requires it.
Where and how long we keep it
Your data is stored with our cloud providers, which may be outside Nigeria; we use providers with strong security and contractual safeguards. We keep your data while your account is active and for a reasonable period afterwards to meet legal and accounting obligations, then delete it.
Security
Data is encrypted in transit, access is restricted by strict permissions, and administrative access is recorded in an audit log.
Your rights
You can access, correct, export or delete your data. You can export your customers, documents and a full backup from inside Adello at any time. To close your account or make another request, contact us. You may also complain to the Nigeria Data Protection Commission.
